Introduction

BIPA Program is an Indonesian language course for speakers of foreign languages, administered by the Language Center, the Faculty of Arts, Universitas Padjadjaran. This program was initiated in 1980. A number of Asian, European and Australian universities have entered into cooperation with Universitas Padjadjaran and sent their students to undertake regular as well as non-regular Indonesian courses The aim of this program is to provide participants with training to develop their practical as well as academic skills of the Indonesian language and to introduce the culture of Indonesia.

Sundanese Course Program

We also offer Sundanese Course Programs. Classes are taught by lecturers of the Department of Sundanese, Faculty of Arts, Universitas Padjadjaran. The aim of the program is to provide participants with knowledge and training or the Sundanese language and culture. Course materials are focused on the sundanese language and culture as part of the entire Indonesian culture. Types of program, course fees, and location of classes are the same as those of the programs offered in the course of Indonesian for Speaker of Foreign Languages.

Teaching Staff

The course is delivered by experienced lecturers of Faculty of Arts University Padjadjaran. Lectures of Indonesian Language Course is delivered by lecturers of Department of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Arts University Padjadjaran.

Accommodation

Upon request, foreign students can be placed in Indonesian families selected by the Language Center. Home-stay fees are terms and condition-dependent. The Language Center provides information on accommodations or boarding houses available around the campus.
